I used Createspace's predecessor Booksurge and was extremely pleased with the service. Since the company refocused as Createspace, it has been pretty unimpressive. I actually do find the company to be extremely responsive but their process is so much slower now. While the design work (you can have them do it or do it yourself) is stellar, there was just no reliable explanation for why the process takes so much longer on their end now than it did a year ago. If there is a process, I should be able to find out exactly where the book is within the process at any given time. But that information was never available even when I explicitly asked. The answer was always "it takes 10-15 days" and "you'll hear something soon." I plan on investigating other companies before I publish my next title. But if I do go with them again, I will need to budget the extra time for the project.
