Extension of Evil By Rosenberg, David S. Reviews This comment written by The Book Stalker Extension of Evil, recently published as the third book in The Corbitt Trilogy and penned by Liverpool author David S. Rosenberg, takes the reader into areas of high suspense as multiple threads wind their way worldwide focusing on United States political contests and terror plots conceived by persons of international origin. Throughout the trilogy, FBI Special Agent Donald Corbitt constantly foils the intricate plots of international terrorists by his ability to weave quick thinking, unique planning and the admiration and cooperation of colleagues into a successful result which thwarts the terrorist plots and saves the lives of large groups of citizens in each book. Jocelyn Hafner, met by Corbitt in the first book, No Shortage of Evil, is a Communications Specialist who figures prominently in the second book, Infusion of Evil, as well as the third and most recent book. Her skills are meshed with the action of Corbitt and his staff as they work against the evils that are threatening the existence of corporations, political figures and the country as a whole. As Corbitt and Hafner work closely together, their professional lives bring them together socially, then romantically. By the third book they are married and become parents to twins as that thread also carries the energy of a threat to Corbitt and his work. Great resolve to locate the international schemers who are plotting against the US presidential race, the blackmailing of the candidate’s closest adviser, and the kidnapping of his granddaughter also create interesting movement throughout the book. The author continues to fill the book's pages with intrigue, a variety of geographical settings with valid descriptions, and teasers of what will follow the twists and turns in the activity.
Go to www.wizardsofwords.org and view the message board. (It's free.) There you'll see dozens of helpful posts under Right-on writing. Also I lecture at conferences about creative writing. So far I pay my own expenses and charge those conducting the conference nothing. Also, I maintain a blog for creative writers and readers on MySpace. I discuss creative writing, do reviews for other authors, and post those done for me. I make myself available for young writers who are just starting on their career path and do my best to help them along the way. Since the originator made an obvious generalization, I'd like to know what pro-bono efforts he made for the benefit of others. All the best, David
Review--Sex, Lies, and Cosmetic Surgery
newAlthough Lois Stern's book, Sex, Lies, and Cosmetic Surgery, will be of interest to most women seeking appearance enhancements, it is a must read for anyone contemplating a cosmetic surgical procedure. The author's research includes detailed case histories of those benefiting from surgery as well as those whose choice of surgeon and expectations proved disappointing. With personal courage, Lois Stern describes her experiences (and those of the many women she interviewed), that range from searching for the right surgeon and managing comments and concerns from friends and relatives, to conquering latent fears as the date for surgery approaches. Sex, Lies, and Cosmetic Surgery should be read by husbands or `significant others' who either question the need for cosmetic enhancement or are confronted by some of the emotionally driven issues that emanate from it. Often these circumstances require total understanding when the post-surgical patient emerges with both psychological and physical changes. Author, Lois Stern, discusses all aspect of this sensitive subject in a light-hearted, yet sincere tone, for everyone seeking or affected by surgical enhancement of physical appearance.
