I've got a novella finished - first fiction after a lifetime of writing nonfiction - takes place in California - working on a sequel.
Heard the founder of Nothing Binding speak last weekend. He says good stories sell, good writing doesn't. Aaarghh!! Mine is well-written, but maybe the story isn't rip-roaring enough.
