Levi Yoder allows once Amish, now English Margaret Goodman to visit his son at Christmas time once a year. He didn't want her to come this year for fear she will reveal a family secret about the boy's mother's death. Levi makes Margaret's visit miserable but she endures for the boy's sake. This story has many exciting twists and turns as what usually is a routine visit turns into a series of dangerous events.
