After Paul Farrell, an architect wanted for multiple murder in Paris, commits suicide-by-cop at JFK, NYPD Homicide detective Charlie Rains and Interpol agents Ballard and Parker think the case is closed. But then Paul's Russian cousin Alan Kedward, an ancient history professor, steals the body. Meanwhile, an old enemy of Kedward's goes after Rains, who has a few secrets of his own.
