Harkening is a book of creative nonfiction that explores the fine line between truth and fiction. They are all my stories but filtered: through my mother, the great story teller of our family; through the point of view I chose to tell each story in; through me; through time; through the creative process in general. Still, they're MY truth--every single one of them.
