This is the last planned book in the Caesar's Tribune series and takes readers through to the finale from the final conquest of Gaul to Caesar's epic struggle with the Senate in Rome to retain his command and return to Rome for a second legitimate tour as Consul. It uncovers the skulduggery that led to the famous – and exasperated – cry: "The die is cast!" as he led his single legion over the River Rubicon on the way to dictatorship and the re-modelling of the Roman Empire.
