Need a better picture of heaven? Take a handful of humor, a dash of pathos, a pinch of theology, and you're home!
Barry Wilcox dies, goes to heaven, and is surprised by what's there...and what isn't. A group of newly arrived souls begins their soul-searching journey from The Bottoms, along the golden road toward Ddowntown. Visit a place where healing is done by music, a grove of trees where dreams originate, and the place where loved ones are reunited. Meet St. Peter, Mary Magdalen, an archangel with a baseball fetish, wounded warrior angels, a blue-haired punk, a mafioso, Wisdom Sophia, and others.

John Earp takes you on a fascinating adventure as you journey through different levels of heaven and spiritual awakening. Since I write about perceptual styles, this quote will always remain with me: "It's not the point of view, it's the view of the point."
Normally I feel that too many metaphors slow down the pace so I tend to lose interest. But John's metaphors help you savor the moment and stimulate your senses to where you can almost taste, smell and feel what the characters are experiencing. I love the ending! A great read and will recommend it to others.
