To Every Thing there is a Season This book was written in hopes of showing any man or women who ever thought of having an affair what they may expect their partner or mate to experience. It is also written for those who may be able to identify with my words and I hope help them make the right decision for their own circumstances. It is my wish that some will read these words coming from the very soul and think twice before taking on a lover. My words are simple but the circumstances surely were not. Monica Marie, 2009 (After the healing) These are my emotions, my words, my inner feelings. When all was lost, I found solace in my writing; it healed, it inspired and it is truth.

In poem form, Into the Tunnel of Darkness spoke of adultery and the consequences that attach itself to this life changing topic. I picked this book to review because I thought it had an interesting concept. I thought the layout of this book was refreshingly different as it was marked in days. It is made clear to the reader that a lot of emotion had been put into these poems. Adultery is something that so many people deal with on a daily basis and being someone who has been cheated on, I think Ms. Brinkman captured the thoughts and feelings I had perfectly. The feelings of inadequacy and failure are so pronounced in this book, I felt like I could have been telling my own story.
I think Into the Tunnel of Darkness is a book of poems that everyone should read regardless of infidelity or not. This book will touch a place in your heart and I thank Ms. Brinkman for bringing to light and sharing with the world, the feelings caused by adultery. As I continue on my road to recovery from adultery, I look to this book to know that I am not alone and there is still hope. Thank you for sharing your story Ms. Brinkman; it is a story that needed to be told in our time and future generations. Two thumbs up. A must not miss book!
