Biography

Anne Caryl is a mom, a foster parent, a grandparent and a writer. She lives on Colorado's eastern plains with her husband and adopted sons as well as the foster children they care for and a dog who holds a world title in snoring. Anne is also a church musician and enjoys painting, especially watercolors. In 1995, Anne's son Chad was murdered in their hometown of about 2200 people. His death changed forever the way Anne looks at life, and Anne explores this through her characters. In a way, male and female, they are all Anne Caryl

Inspiration

The greatest influence in my life has been my son's death and the way it shaped my life. My faith has upheld me, though I haven't always been on speaking terms with God. I also have a heart for the Jewish people and the inhumanities they suffered at the hands of the Nazi Party. Bigotry and cruelty are two subjects which fascinate me, because we are all capable of feeling those emotions, but many of us rise above them.
