Look and Listen

Biography

Captain Conrad loves boats, writing, women, little kids, dogs and cats. Years spend dreaming about boats led to rescuing an old sailing yawl, restoring her and sailing to the Virgin Islands. That let to friendships with a fabulous cast of seafaring charactors, which led to wanting to be like them, which led to....a 100 ton Coast Guard License...years of chartering...restoring a 1936 wooden "Gold Plater" yacht...chartering in the grand style...which led to writing a "how-to" book about the whole adventure, "GOLD BARS."

Inspiration

Frank Lloyd Wright, who I always admired and who told me four months before his death standing on his terrace at Taliesin West, pointing his cane at the horizon, "It's all here, take what you need!" I've tried to do that, take only what I need to do what I need to do.
