Biography

I studied Literature at California State University San Marcos. Upon graduation I supported my family by operating heavy equipment in the Mining and Grading industries. Sitting in equipment all day, I spent the majority of time daydreaming plots, characters, and children's stories, I admit my head was rarely in the work at hand. I embodied myself as the microchip of the machine. In 2009 my father committed suicide and I chose to write about it in my memoir The Reverent Surrender. I am an avid reader of the classics, non-fiction and fiction. I also enjoy the occasional biography and inspirational writing. I would list my favorite authors as Woolf, Hemmingway, Chopra, and Albom. I have always been a writer at heart, journaling and writing music as a young boy and played in various bands growing up. I live in Flagstaff AZ with my wife Jerusha and two daughters Vivian and Reagan.
