Look and Listen

Biography

I am a freelance writer whose work to date has been quite diverse. These days, however, I mainly write for children. I hold Masters and Bachelor degrees in zoology (specialising in Animal Behaviour) and am a former zookeeper. I often draw on my "former lives" to write about animal-related topics, and love to turn straight science into FUN. My main interests are writing, reading, animal behaviour, companion animals, education, zoos, travel and eastern philosophies. i am also a big fan of sci. fi./fantasy movies and Directors Peter Jackson, Steven Spielberg and George Lucas. Inspiration

My daughter, other children, my own childhood, people in general, visiting new places, getting out into nature, watching movies, reading books, listening to music and the conversations of people who don't know I'm listening! My greatest joy is forming a connection with another person.
