Biography

Green Mansions was the first book I read that lit my imagination. I designed and built the second car I drove while in High School. I started writing poetry while in combat as a member of U.S. Army Military Intelligence. It helped but not enough. Wrote my first novel in 1985. Designed, built and sold a geodesic dome on Oregon's coast. Won the grand prize in a New York state sponsored black and white photo contest. Published my first story in 1994. I am one of the Writers of the Future winners for 2004.

Inspiration

Questions. Such as: what does a combat veteran understand that the rest of us do not? Is time a circle? Or the best of all: What if?
