Biography

Lisa Maddock, author of A Tale of Two Guinea Pigs, lives in Shakopee, Minnesota (a southwest suburb of Minneapolis) with her husband Bill, daughter Allison, four pampered guinea pigs named Maggie, Peanut, Mimi and Miranda... and a little white mouse with big black spots named Aurora Marie Borealis-Maddock.

Inspiration

I was inspired to write a book for children after years of reading to my daughter. The inspiration for this particular story came from my guinea pigs, naturally, Maggie and Peanut, coupled with my somewhat wild imagination and asking myself, "What if they suddenly started to talk to me one day... that would make a funny story." I think it did.
