Biography

Lloyd Lofthouse earned a BA in journalism after fighting in Vietnam as a U.S. Marine. Later, while working days as an English teacher at a high school in California, he earned a MFA in writing. He also enjoyed a job as a maitre d' in a multi-million dollar night club and tried his hand successfully at counting cards in Las Vegas. He lives near San Francisco with his wife, with a second home in Shanghai, China.

Inspiration

While attending college on the GI Bill in 1968, Ray Bradbury gave a lecture there. That inspired me to start writing, and I haven't stopped yet. That was one heck of a lecture.
