Known as the world's leading Author's Advocate, Patrika Vaughn shares her 25 years (a published author,editor, ghostwriter, publisher and literary agent) with aspiring writers. Her mission: to help new voices achieve publication.

Inspiration

I've loved words since I was a kid reading fairy tales. I grew up and gravitated toward word jobs - as a newspaper reporter, then a humble editor, graduating to ghostwriting and finally books of my own. Sometimes it was scarey and discouraging (everybody gets rejections slips), but I kept remembering what we said at New College when I was a student there: we wrote an undergraqduate thesis: we can do anything! And so I kept plugging. And it worked.
