Inspiration

In 1994, my husband and I sailed into Santorini. Once I understood our cruise ship was plunging headlong into the caldera of a volcano - once I understood the unbelievable power of the eruption behind the creation of those majestic sheer cliffs we were admiring, I was hooked! After 15 years of research and writing; my first novel, "Cataclysm in Blue Water," burst forth. The novel is a historical mystery snaked around a modern-day mystery. I had glorious fun putting flesh on the Minoans, an advanced and nature-loving Bronze-Age civilization. Devising the modern-day mystery centered around the Minoan archeological site of Akrotiri within Santorini was just delicious. What happened to the Minoans? Are they behind the legend of the Lost City of Atlantis? Who killed the professor? He uncovers a gold granulated starfish and is murdered.
