Biography

Recently retired from active duty with the US Navy where I served as a registered nurse. Married for more than 32 years, we have three grown children (scattered across the country, now :( I'm an active jogger and WAS an active weight-lifter (until I tore up my shoulder about a year ago . . . but hey, it's a sports injury ;) Oh, and BTW, if you jog, MAKE SURE your shoelaces remain tied. About a month ago mine came undone, I tripped, fell on my outstretched hands, and broke BOTH of my radial heads. Ahhh, yes. Another sports injury for which I have bragging rights ;) rich

Inspiration

My writing is influenced by many things. Certainly Scripture and my time in prayer, especially each morning. But interacting with people during the day also provides a wealth of inspiration. We are all so different, and yet, beneath those differences lies a somewhat melancholy sameness that my writing seems to touch.
