Biography

Though I've just published my first novel, North American Primates, I'm also interested in contemporary art and music. I plan on pursuing my masters in art this year while writing my next novel.

Inspiration

Larry McMurtry's novels and the radio show Coast to Coast were to the two greatest influences on my first novel, North American Primates. I like a wide range of writers, but some recent books that have inspired me are The Brief Wonderous Life of Oscar Wao and The Terror by Dan Simmons. I like a lot of contemporary art, most recently the work of David Altmejd and Banks Violette.
