Biography

Theresa received a B.A. in English from the University of Washington. She taught middle school language arts for over twenty-five years before retiring to devote all her energy to her passion of writing. She self-published two middle reader novels before signing on with a small press in TX, where three of her YA novels have been published with a fourth, pending. She currently resides in SC. Theresa enjoys painting and exploring out-of-the-way places, especially the Low Country of SC.

Inspiration

I have been making up stories since I was very small, with my cousin as my first avid audience. After starting school, I began writing my imaginings down on paper. It wasn't until I was given a typewriter that I decided to become a writer "for real" when I grew up. I find inspiration in the little things going on all around me. I never know when something will trigger an idea that morphs into a full-blown story.
