Biography

Wayne Howard, grew up in Nevada, Japan and Guam. He attended high school and college in Mississippi where he received a degree in chemistry. He then did graduate study in Mississippi and Texas in the field of geochemistry and geology and worked for a number of years in the oil and gas industry. He has lived in Oregon for the last 16 years. He has always been drawn to fiction writing and won a story writing contest at the age of nine. He began but later abandoned a science fiction novel while an undergraduate at Mississippi State University. He recently began a more deliberate and sustained effort producing short plays, poems, short stories and meditations.

Inspiration

Most of my inspiration comes from the natural world and my interaction with it through hiking and camping.
